Jingle Bells

This is the first year that Tavin understands Christmas, and he understands it WELL. Santa is no longer the cartoon character "Te-Ta" of last year, but the source of a seemingly never ending wealth of hyper-active energy. He has been bouncing off the walls for the past week. He wakes up between 4am and 5am every morning to ask, "Is it Christmas time yet??!!" He is too excited to go back to sleep, so Brad has to get up and plug in the Christmas tree. Then, they must count down the days. Tavin asks "How many days till Christmas." Brad explains to him there are 20 (or however many there are), and Tavin responds with, "No, there are four!" Tavin demands that he selects the music when we are in the car. The only acceptable songs are "Jingle Bells" or "Jingle Bell Rock." Just prior to the last note of the song, Tavin screams from the back of the van, "Jingle Bells! Jingle Bells!" So over, and over, and over it plays. I wonder how long he can keep up this level of excitement and energy before he burns out!
